Copacabana Bolivia: Recommendations

While in Copacabana, we found a couple of places that we really wanted to share with other travelers.  Aransaga was a wonderful place for ‘Desayuno’ (breakfast).  It sits right on the main road just past the bus stops.  The owner is quite friendly and the food is delicious.  Prices are quite economical as well.

Restaurante La Orilla:  The owner here is a charming man.  With an Argentinean rancher look and a friendly smile, he speaks great English as well.  We had dinner here twice and both were wonderful.  A little touch of home….Beef Stew with mashed potatoes, and perfectly steamed veggies!  Teresa had the pork chop and stated that it was just as good.

The second nights dinner didn’t disappoint:  Fajita’s  for me with the freshest guacamole ever and good old Spaghetti for Teresa.  Again this place is located on the main street.  It’s near the bottom of the hill.
