First World Problems

Hiawatha & Lake Coeur D’Alene
August 11-24

As I continue to try to catch up I’m going to post several updates, and will back-date them in an effort to get them posted in an appropriate time-line. Please bear with me as I can’t currently add photo’s or links….I’m working on it!!

First world problems…
“slow or weak wi-fi”

After Sandpoint, we headed to Benewah Lake Campground Heywood State Park Idaho on the southern tip of Lake Coeur D’Alene. This is such a beautiful area and I truly enjoyed our stay here. It’s quite a drive around the lake….

We met some great folks at the campground here and Mike and I ended up going bicycling up at the Hiawatha Bike Trail. This was AMAZING!! I highly recommend it for any and all bikers. You don’t have to be in great shape (have you seen me lately?), to do the entire route. It’s an old RR path and it’s all downhill at a slight grade. For those a bit more adventurous, you can go both directions and it still wouldn’t be a huge challenge. I think I could have done both if I’d been a little more energetic.

The views are beautiful….I didn’t even take many photo’s because I was just enjoying the ride and having some great conversations with Mike along the way. It was over before I knew it and I was wishing that I had a bit more ride left.

We camped here for nearly 2 weeks but Dad and I flew back to Indiana during this time to attend my Son’s wedding and welcome a Daughter and Grandson to the family.

The Hip-Gyp Trip began on June 3, 2016 and who knows when and where it will end… If you would like to see all of the photo’s from the trip, please visit Hip-Gyp Photo’s.
